Canada Work Permit

Canada's economy is always in need of more employees. Not all job openings in the neighbourhood are filled by local individuals. For this reason, the Ministry of Immigration frequently grants work visas to foreign nationals who have located employment in Canada. Additionally, Canada aggressively seeks out individuals with prior job experience there, making employment-based immigration a wonderful route to obtain permanent residency in the country.

A foreigner can obtain a work visa in Canada in a number of ways. There are two main ways to immigrate to Canada through employment: by assisting the employer and obtaining work permits based on the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) as part of the Temporary Foreign Workers Program, or by applying for and receiving work permits through International Experience Canada (IEC), which is open to nationals of many different nations.

Foreign nationals are only permitted to work temporarily in Canada for a total of four years. (4 years after the conclusion of the previous hiring, you may work on a new one for up to 4 years)

1. Before hiring foreign workers, a company must get an LMIA (labour market impact assessment).

Employment and Social Development Canada/Service Canada issues the LMIA, a document that enables the company to employ foreign workers under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. When there aren't enough Canadians to perform these tasks, the programme enables firms to hire employees for temporary positions. It was necessary to evaluate how hiring a possible foreign employee might affect a position for Canada.

FIRST - The company needs to get an LMIA application form from Employment and Social Development Canada or Service Canada. The ESDC examines applications after they are filled out and submitted based on a variety of criteria, such as the amount of compensation and the financial advantages of hiring a foreign worker for Canada. Following the official announcement of the outcome,

A work permit is often allowed for the same period of time as an LMIA is given. A new LMIA must be issued in order to renew a work permit after the LMIA's validity period has passed.

2. LMIA is not necessary if employees are hired through the international mobility programme. It indicates that employing a foreign worker has advantages for both Canada and Canadians. A fresh immigration programme to Canada was introduced in 2017, called the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. As part of this initiative, the federal government welcomes 2,000 new members and their families to the Atlantic Region of Eastern Canada, along with the governments of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.
